I have a heavily modified 440 and because summer is coming I want to make sure its running cool. Besides the larger oil tank, is there anything else that I can do? I already run race fuel, but I read on another thread about swapping out the oil cooler for something a bit bigger.......say something from a CBR 600. Has anyone changed the stock 400 oil cooler out before and what kind of temperature difference did it make. Thanks in advance
The FST Oil cooler is known to help cool alot.

you could add a larger oil cooler from duncan racing, some air scoops, and a hoodscoop would probably help

Well First off you should have thought of this problem before you proceeded... I have bored mine over to a 406EX and it even gets a little warm back in the woods if were on a slow trail... A 440 is a different story,,, But ya right now about the best you can do is add air scoops, hood scoop, big oil cooler, bigger oil tank, synthetic oil, race fuel also helps a little bit... and always preserve your engine when possible,,, dont overkill it...

in reference to the larger oil cooler you can order all the parts from jeggs for about 1/3 the cost of of the kit from a store, just a thought.
