hey on my 87 250x the chain came off and put a nice big hole is the side of my crank case in front of the sproket, i say the hole is about 1" wide and 3" tall. is there a way to weld it (someone said jb weld but that sounds a little weird) or do i have to buy a whole new crank case?
thanks

It can be welded, I had a rm 80 that has a welded head on it. I noticed your name is nismo... Are you refering to Nissan Motorsports?!

You can sometimes weld cases, but a hole 1"x3" is a pretty big chunk! Might be cheaper to get a new case half.

Marty has welded several cases for me. He has lots of experience with aluminum. Email him, if you have pics send those too, and ask for an estimete.

Buy a new case and a case saver so you dont have to go thru this again.
