does anyone know the highest speed ever recorded on a quad was im arguing over this with my friend???:devil

in the guiness book of records its like 95 but i know as a fact you can get a quad doin more then that

I dont know exactly, but I could bet that it is faster than 95 mph. About 2 yrs ago in a quad mag I saw a write up of a '95 Banshee with a engine that was unruly, like a 560 or something huge like that. That thing would drag in 3.49 @ like 115 or 117mph. I will try to find the article...

Um.... in DW there was a banshee w/a 1425cc turbo charged on nitro, and it did a hundred yards in like 3.2sumthin seconds, and went over 100 !!! Im shure theres bikes out there capable of going 150!!!! Does that get-bike thing count??? Man now that must go over 100!!!:rolleyes: :p

I thought that jet powered quad did over 200. Once you get into altereds, people start to stretch the definition of a "quad" (serious wheelbases, unusual powerplants, etc.).

gunesus book of world records is like 95mph on a quadzilla... the guy that did it was blind and had matt coulter the kangaroo kid on the back tappin his shoulders which was to turn the bars to steer or something... it was on tv...

Yeah what was the quad in the one dirtwheels a while ago it said it went of 220 and was made out of a 3000cc engine. Does anybody remember seein that because my friend brought in that issue about a year ago. Ill try to find some pics if i can

dude 95 is def not it, you can get a banshee bore it 500, alchol,..........the whole 9 yards, and put top end sprockets and easily break 95

yea in one of the latest dirtwheels they have this trinty banshee called the "Legend" and its a 535cc alchohol burning 135 hp monster that only weighs like 230lbs, i think they said it shoots 95mph up oldsmobile hill in glamis. on the flats im sure it would smother that speed!

On the flats, if he changed the sprockets ratio for better top speed, he could probably get that thing up to 140. But it would probably run out of gas :eek2: . That thing is a gas pig!

I heard pound for pound rico held that title with the scooter. Not a quad but hear he has been know to haul:eek2:
