I just did a valve test with gasoline and it leaked just so slightly, took about a minute and a half till it showed up, and it just moisend the face of the valves ,never did drip at all. Is the slight leak still a problem?

We just tore CCriders engine apart because blue smoke was coming out of his exhaust. We were told it was probably his cylinder being scored but it didn't look to bad. I will try to get him to post some pics of the cylinder. Anywase could it be his valves leaking that was causing the smoke instead of the cylinder?

Could very well be leaking valve seals.

Here is a pic of his cylinder I hope. Do you guys think the scoring is bad enough to cause smoking?

Does the oil control ring still spin freely on the piston?

Well I have never seen what a new cylinder looks like. Does that look that bad? Do those scores seem normal or should it be totally smooth. By the way all you K&N bashers out there this came from a foam filter not a K&N so I guess it could happen to anyone if you don't maintain them properly.

Yes that is my stock bore.
Can valve problems lead to oil burning?

well i did a 426 kit on mine a few weeks ago

it was a 2000

my stock cylinder had no scratches whatsoever....it still had the cross hatching

looks to me like the rings either went...or something else....do you have aim?
