Airbox question

I custom built an aluminum airbox with no lid for my 400ex. I punched loovers in the side of the box to get more flow. Well I put in a 152 main jet, it doesnt sputter or anything, but it still runs a little hot. Everything is stock, even the filter. So should I go up on the main jet, or is it fine? Thanks for any help.

how does the plug look? i would think a 152 would be plenty big. however, you could change the pilot to a 40, 42 or a 45. you could also move the clip down on the needle. doing both of these will richen up the bike and possibly make it run a little cooler. the needle and pilot do not affect full throttle, that is the main jet.
