How do I soften it. I know about the 400ex spring I have one but I think I should keep the raptor spring in cause I'm 180lbs, jump high, and race mx.

your still light enough for the 400 spring, the 400 spring is for 200 lb. riders or lighter

is this a bolt on mod?

I would love to get a better rear shock under my 300ex i constantly bottom it out, and it rides terrible comapred to my 400ex a-arms and shocks up front, and with my lonestar +4 axle.

you can soften the preload and turn the compression down but you really need to put the 400 spring on!

Yes, it is a bold on. 01 Raptor shock only!

i only weigh 165 and left the raptor spring on mine, and i love it. I think its perfect. my preload is set at the minimum.
