you talking about the little clip on the handlebars right so you can put your helmet on?

if so, i used mine all the time on my 300ex. i would put my helmet on it with my gloves and goggles inside (cause the bottom of the helmet would rest against the plastics, so they wouldnt fall out) as i would sit sidesadel ridin up the road slowly to my friends house where i ride. (lots of cops around here, if they see me blast up the road they will give me a ticket)

but i did buy a new stem cause min was bent

I've seen it but never used it , looks like more trouble than it is practical. I just hang my helmet on the handle bars.
