I think they fit better in the 400ex frame. It would help alot if you gusset it too!

gusseted 400ex frame or arens frame which you can bolt up a 400ex motor or a crf motor. 250r frame I think is to low for a big four stroke motor but i'm sure you might be able to fit some 2 stroke motors in but if you do your gonna have to go through a lot of steps to lessen the vibration. You might wanna take this information as a grain of salt though because I don't have any first hand experience with this stuff but I think i've learned plenty as long as i've been on this site.
