A Arm Boots

I would like to powder coat my stock A arms. Does anyone know of a way to get the ball joint rubber boot off in reusable condition? I dont think they will handle the heat.

to do i think you have to buy a thing to get the whole ball joint out. You can buy it from a Motorsports shop.:devil

the problem with that is that the ball joint doesnt come out, and even if you got the boot off there is a little plastic thing in there that doesnt come out, so powder coating wont work:ermm:

if you do the powdercoating with a infrared heater they come out fine. I did my stock 86 arms like that and the ball joints are still perfect. You can get it just right so the ball joints arent recieving direct heat. Mr. Heater makes a infrared heater you can use. theyre like 100 bucks
