ok this is gonna be short cause i ain't gonna even explain how this happen but umm my timing chain somehow got binded up down in the crackcase..but i managed to get it out but after i did i noticed on the sprocket that it goes around in the crankcase has a broken tooth..so my question is and i shouldn't be askin this but would that cause me that much of a problem where i would have to fix that or could i avoid that and just put a new timing chain on and ride it like that??? i'm sorry if this is really stupid of me but i really want your answers..please just tell me what you think and i will take it into consideration..thank....madmike

I think if I had something to break in my engine I would replace it.

that will cost you a lot more in the long run
look at it like this
timing chain breaks with valves open piston hits valves
nasty scenario
fix whats broke
