View Full Version : Help? Is my 1999 400ex geared different than 2000-2003

When ever I jump off of my 1999 400ex and jump on a 2000,2001,2002 400ex it feels like they have longer reving gears and faster???? Are all years the same or did Honda change something??

the newer ones prolly just feel a bit fresher than the ol 99, my 2000 feels faster than my bro's 2003 though:o

maybe it is the way the bikes are set up that makes them that way:rolleyes:

Did you buy yours new? Or did they change their gearing. Somebody's may have had a gearing change at some time. I put 15/36 gearing on mine and it pulls much longer in the gears.
