Help Fast!!!!

for the last month i have been riding and after every tank of gas my oil level goes down to the bottom of the dipstick. My 400 isnt burning oil, there is not even a trace of exhaust when it is revd up. I also checked it for leaks and i couldnt find any. I was wondering what you guys made of this situation.

add some oil and see what happens, if you fill the oil to the top after draining the engine you will still be around 3/4 of a quart down.

Make sure that you check your oil when the engine is warm. I don't know exactily why this is but Honda says you will get two different readings if you check when it is hot or cold.

the reason its diffrent messurments is because the oil expands when it is heats so they tell you not to fill it to full cause when it gets hot it has to have room to expand otherwise you will blow seals

If you drag race a lot or ride with lots of high RPM's like I like too,,, Alot of times that oil will be forced HARD to the top of the head.... And when that happens,, you wont see much oil on your dipstick,,, but if yoou dont see the bluer smoke or smell it,,, your alright.... Dont worry,,, mine does the same thing..

thats how i ride, but then what should i do about the oil scene. Should I add oil and if i diont will i ruin my main bearings.

if oil is getting forced into the top end, doesnt that mean that the tings may be gone.

When You start your bike up for the first time that day,,, Hows does it sound, Idle and after the motor is warmed up,, hows does it run???
