Cops Quads?????????

What kind of quads do the cops use by you if they do use quads? Here were i live they have polaris scramblers and other polaris utility quads.

The ones at the local dunes I go to (Florence, OR) all used to ride Warriors until late last year when they started showing up on Raptors. There was a rumor that they had built banshees but I never saw any cops on banshees, just the Raptors.

Iv seen Raptors at Winchester. But it was the 4th of july and thats the only time Iv ever seen a cop on a bike! Iv never seen any at Spinreel or Boxcar! But Iv never been to those 2 places on a big weekend! I think I also heard things about cops on these fast bikes(i think it was just kids talkin crap) so they could like catch people if they had to! But I dont think anyone even know how to ride! Ill just roost them!

If you ever see a cop on a quad around my way it would be a Honda Foreman 450. But I've never seen anybody ride it before.

In my town your lucky if you see a cop once a week.

Heck cops on quads.The cops here are lucky they get out of there cop car.Let alone get on a quad and drive it.Plus if they did they wouldn't get that many people.Because they don't know the trails and aren't fast enought.

Around here they use bikes. Usually xr650's. But usually they just use the cruisers and chopper to chase you and give you a fine.

Yes, it's true alot of State police and Highway patrol departments have corvette's for high speed chases, A couple states(i believe) have camero's that they use for speed enforcement.

yea in NY the state troopers drive around in firehawks

Iv seen 1 cop around the places I ride (on paved 2 lane busy highways even theres no cops), and the cop was about 10 miles away from my house, he was on the side of the road talkin to some guy, I whizzed past him .. I looked back, he didnt seem to care for me, cuz it was a dirt road, and its all farmer hicks here.

Hicks is my last name, seriously, no joke lol

But yeah, its awesome here, you can ride wherever and no cops..

Iv rode 50 miles before with a friend on the side of a paved road and no cops.. not even a car! This place rocks :confused2

Oh but I have seen cops on anything that says polaris, and sometimes cr250's :( , im not sure how or if they make them street legal.. all I can say is that if your not on a ktm or a yz250, or a crf450/yz450, your gonna get caught.

That and 6 limited edition raptors. We had a place to ride awhile back but theis millonaire bought the land and bought 5 raptors for the cops to contol it

we have cops ridin around on dr200's. they suck. the only cop that rode good isnt ridin now because he caught some guy on a sportsman and was goin to have his quad towed. the guy on the sportsman started it up so the cop pulled his gun and the guy took off. the cop tried to hold on to the rack(such a stupid thing to do) and his hand got caught. he got dragged like 50 feet and broke his wrist. so now we only have 2 cops who ride and they suck, but if they catch you they have it towed and u have to pay 90 to get ur quad out and all the other fines they give you

lol the cops in my town dont care about atvs ware they cant yell at you and not get out of thaire car. :D But the EPO'S really care. they have runined thaire trucks chasein people down the power lines and trying to drive threw the woods, theire crazy they will try to ram you with trucks:eek2: lol. A couple towns up thow they have a bunch of 4wd ATV s they patrol the off road beach with but other than that no atv cops.

they had quads up in new york state near me but couldnt catch anyone b/c most cops cant ride now they just park in front of the trails near roads. but around here its no big deal we just talk ur way out of a ticket

cops have quads?:confused: :confused: i seriously didn't know that....never see any of them round here. heck...the last time i saw a cop car where i live was....maybe in november?? The last cop on my road was.....last summer? cuz a guy was drivin his quad on a bunch of ppls private property w/out askin. and + I don't think no cop quads r gonna be chasin me thru the woods where they don't know where their goin (theirs a huge cliff, so they cud fall off it, lol) or back at my parents property by a huge lake cuz i would just go back on old logging roads where again, if they don't know where their goin, theirs huge skidder treds and stuff that they would hurt theirselves on:devil

most of the cops ive seen have sportsmans. the dep usually will just block the path if u cross the street. the only time i got caught was when a dep officer walked out in the middle of a tail and busyed us. we got a $60 ticket. but since ct is in a budget crsis, our governor laid off all the dep people expect for a few office peole so there will be no more problems hopefully

Freeride I guess your right, the cops here dont really know how the ride ... they ride a bunch of 2-stroke and 4-stroke bikes, but only sportsman quads. I dont think my kx80 could get away unless i really knew a trail system, especially from a cr250. Iv only been chased once soooo
