I installed a 158 main and a 42 pilot jet on my 2003 400ex last nite. Did I choose the correct jets and do I need to do anything else to my air/fuel screws...

Why did you change the main? Did you take off the airbox or added an exhaust? Got to give us more info.

I added a WB E series slip-on and wanted to gain more out of it. People told me to rejet. What size jets did all of you guys use?I rejetted last night and took ir for a quik ride. Felt a little difference.

Do I need to move the clip down a few notches. Where is the clip at and what the hell is it?

That much on a main might be too much for a slip on unless your running no airbox lid or an aftermarket filter also.
I have a T4, UNI filter, no lid and run a 155

main jet is probally too big. i would try a 152. pilot jet sounds pretty good. i am running a 45 pilot right now and it is a little rich. i had a 42 but it did not seem to do much. however, when i took it out and put a bigger one in, i found that it was gumed up so i am going back and trying the 42. does your bike start without out the choke with that new pilot jet in?

You definitely need a service manual. theres a guy on here that sells it on cd for $10. put out a feeler.
