I was told that a ATC 250r head gasket is thinner than a TRX 250r's head gasket. Is it true? If I put one on my TRX and raise my compression just a little, 93 will still work just fine, right? Would you other 250r owners do this?

You should do a compression test on your motor. That is the only way to really tell if you need to run pump gas or race fuel. If the compression is 180 psi or over your going to need race fuel.

He said that a cr250's head gasket is the thinnest, then its a ATC, then it's a TRX being the thickest. I just don't know if it would be worth it.

All my friends who have R's and me run the CR gasket, runs premium okay but prefers 50/50 110 and premium. The CR gaske is a 1/4 as think as the TRX gasket. The ATC gasket is about 2/3rds the TRX gasket.

I am not so sure on the 265. What size is the piston diameter in mm? If it is less then the max overbore on a std R cylinder then it would probly be okay. You may be better going to a pro design head that uses o-rings. Getting a head gasket for my ole 295 was a pain in the arse, I don't know what the availibility is for the 265.

The 265 will use the stock head gasket,You dont have to get a bigger one till the 295 cylinder(Or 310)
