No im gettin black plastics soon and this winter im doin my frame yz blue....so it should look better but i like it now....so i dunno....My lights, for lights and neons switches....they light up when i turn my lights on....

Yeah i think it was pretty easy....just alot of trimming to perfect the cut and stuff so it fits good :macho I got the blue hood because i know im gettin the plastics soon and i wanted to make sure i could do it before I messed up new plastics....

I think the raptor hoods on the exs looks wild. I dont know if I agree with the blue though. with blue plastic and blue frame it would look mean. good job matt.

I have one more....sorry they aren't real close up.....the Yamaha red is almost an exact match - outside it's perfect - if you are inside under artificial light, the Yamaha hood is just a tiny shade darker..........

first place i would check is a yamaha shop and get the rappy hood for the 2003 LE

Yeah - the '03 have the most color choices. Red, Blue, Carbon Fiber (not real, but looks good!) and maybe silver or black?? I've always thought the yellow plastic with the carbon fiber hood would look good!

You can get this hood from any store that sells Yamaha parts - it's a stock part. They aren't that expensive, either except the carbon fiber one. Prob'ly because it's limited edition..........

If anyone wants the details on how I did this (the ones I sent to Cowsbitepeople) then PM me with your e-mail addy and I'll get them to you.......although this weekend I'll be at Glamis, so if it's after today, I'll get back to you on Monday!

Glamis was beautiful - it was really windy before we got there, so all the sand was smooth and perfect......sand was slightly damp under the top layer.....weather was 80 degrees with just a hint of a breeze to keep the roost away.....almost full moon at night......it was the best I have ever seen it!! Bowling the big bowls was a blast because the dunes were sooooooo smooth! Too bad it's pretty much the end of the dune season out there - except for summer night rides. Unless we get a cold front in for Memorial Day Weekend, I probably won't get back there until Halloween!

I did a red raptor hood on yellow plastic. It looks pretty good with my red a-arms and red springs. I also got a polished stainless steel flame radiator guard and put it under the hood so it covers all the wiring and stuff. And I just ordered my trail tech lights from Rocky Mtn this morning. I paid $35 for the red raptor hood, $74 for the radiator guard, and $135 for the light kit. I still have to go and pick-up the red gas tank cover from the dealer, (hopefully the cover will match the hood) By the way, the cabon fiber raptor hood is $140 from the Yamaha dealer.
