Nice dirt bike! I bought my son a xr-80, he just did not seem too interested in quads. then I sold the XR, got him a YZ-80, which he rode for a year. and now he likes riding the quad better! What to do? Haha :D

Sweet! Do you need another son?:D Seriously, that was great what ya did for him. Getting him involved at a young age is a great thing. It will pay off as he gets older. I started riding 3 wheelers with my dad when I was just 8 and we worked up to riding cr's and rm's together when he was 62yoa. He taught me that the family that plays together stays together. And man those are some of the greatest memories in my life. Especially letting him lead when riding bikes so I could watch him wipe out in the mud puddles.:D

btw- I just picked up an '02 crf450 for an absolute smokin deal, $1500. So I'm back in the bike realm also. But it will probably be disassembled and made into a race quad.

Hope he likes it. I had a xr80 and liked it. Very easy to start and learn to ride on. Now I got a KX100.

Mine's a 98 Sport and I have had absolutely no problems with it. I am not too impressed with the transmission though. I read somewhere there are issues with it; and mine flares under acceleration at times. I only have 42,000 miles on it, JIM

Yeah, it is fun to see the look on their faces! I basically teach my kids that there are consequences to everything they do in life. They are really good about taking responsibility for their actions, which is a lost art nowadays. I hope to take him out on it today, it was raining yesterday, and he was at his grandparents' til late anyways.

I will wait til he can throw this bike around like his Redline and do the same stuff on it, then I will know it is time for a new one......JIM
