It came out half way and stopped! It turns just fine it just won't come out. Is there an easier way? I thought about cutting the head off and driving it through the other side. What did you guys do?????  :grr :huh

I can get it half way out and it will go back in with no prob. But no more than that. Are you saying just cut it? Cause it looks like you were cutting the nut side of yours. I can get the nut off, I just can't get the bolt all the way out! When I beat on it with a BMFH it was sticking out the pipe side about 5 inches. WTF! This is the only thing about my Ex that I've found difficult!

I just beat it to no end and it finally came out. When I put it back I greased it up really good.

put grease on the part of the bolt that is out. Push it back in and spin it around a couple of times. Then try pushing the bolt out with the hammer. Also, this may sound stupid, but have someone turn the bolt while you beat on it with a hammer. That works for me sometimes.

if you have a tie rod laying around stick it in the swinher and bang on it with a sledge, it worked for me.

Cut off the part that wont come out and slide it out the other way then pull the other piece out. You probably don't want to reuse that bolt anyway.

its tweaked, cut it, and the swingarm will fall off and the bent part of the bolt will be inside

It could be bent, thats why it still turns and you got it out half way.. Just cut it close to the part of the tranny it goes though :D

at least your moves... my is probable so bent... that is why i couldn't get it out... We tried everything(excepting cutting it) and it wouldn't move, not even spin... we put about 2 bottles of the grease that makes stuff come out easier, and that didn't work... used impact guns, huge breaker bars, sludge hammers... and still nothing

honda doesn't believe in grease from the factory.

Yeah, it sure is a b!tch to get them out. On the one 99, we had to beat the living hell out of it to get it out. We ended up messing up the threads on it. So we just bought another, about $20 CDN. we had to heat it up, use a impact gun, then used a broken socket extension to knock it out when it was halfway through. Luckily when I got my 2000, I got it out easily, then I lithium greased that sucka up.

I pitty the foo.
