I finally lifted the Toy after lots of planning. Did it all in one weekend. Now I will have to buy a dropped hitch receiver to pull my quad around.

Sweet truck...

You don't see Tacomas all that often, especially one's as nice as yours.

What kind of kit did you use to lift it?

It's the Trailmaster 6" Lift. The tires are 33"x 12.5". It's rides better than when it was stock, if you can believe that! Wierd...

Nice...are those tires very noisy on the highway? I have a 2003 Grand Cherokee Overland that is in desparate need of some more agressive tires, but I'm not sure what to get for it. Keep in mind it has 17" wheels and hasn't been lifted...yet. :D

Any suggestions?

These tires on the D-Cab are the BFG Mud Terrains. They are a bit noisey but that is the trade off you get with an aggressive Mud Tire. BFG All Terrains are a great highway tire. They are not as aggressive as the MT's but they do good for an all around tire. Also, Pro Comp makes a reasonably decent Tire for a Good price. There are a lot of options out there. I would recommend going on some 4x4 boards and asking some questions.

Nice action Pic, Man. That Yota is doing some serious Crawlin'. We do a lot of that here in AZ! Hair-Raising adrenaline pumping stuff. Makes you pucker up real good! LOL.

We also Relocated the rear shock mounts to form a " / \ " shape. You can kind of see it here. We welded them to steel stock and spanned the frame.

Not bad for a yota. My grandparents have 2 Yota 4x4 V6s and a Tacoma.

If you wanted you could prolly get 35s on there. How close are the from the inside? Think a set of 35s would give ya problems? lol. The bigger the better. :blah

I've been told that 35's would fit but that they mess with the CV angles worse than 33's. When these wear out, I wil probably try 35's!
