View Full Version : DMC heat shield screws coming loose

Anyone have some tips to keep my heat shield screws from coming loose. I tried loctite blue, because thats what I had didn't work at all. I put the stock heat shield screws in and that worked for a little while, then I lost one of those too. I tried some others and they just all rattle loose.

try the red locktite and that will work, but remember for it to work you have to let it sit for 24 hours i think.

I wish I had heat shield screws on mine. I have the old style DMC DUAL...no heat shield, and burned up boots...:grr

One of the guys over at Bluetraxx that has an DMC Alien on his Raptor is having the same problems...maybe call DMC and ask them what to do about it.

Your not kidding buddy, those boots are melted.

use red loctite but it will be a ***** to get it back off if you need to take the heatshield off

I got the same problem with mine but for some months I havent got any problems with it... then for some reasons I lost it in the snow!! I will search it tonight because its 10* outside so it will melt. I hope i will found it
