New Quad Tech Hood

Just installed a new quad tech hood lastnight. Couldnt hardly bring myself to take the saw to the plastic but i did. they need to redesign the top mount on the hood because the push pins you mount it with are so long they hit the tank. i had to cut them to make it fit.

Thats a nice color scheme. The new hood looks good, I don't normally like them just plain.

That thing looks sicc.. to bad they take the lights off or I'd get one right away.. i think since I got my black plastics now I'm thinking of getting a quad tech tank cover for now...


How much weight do you remove when taking the lights off, and how much weight do the new billet lights weigh... Just wondering...? You know, I'm a curious mo fo...

pvt. maggot - the screen stuff behind the bumper is where my extra oil cooler is mounted.

quadtrix6 - the key mounts right into the top of the hood on a tab already there. there is no place to mount the neutral light.

nuttynewt - i just ran last weekend in oakland city IN. it is a fun track. I run LTM in casey IL also. the new track you are thinking about may be planet extrem in hord IL. i dont know if they run quads there anymore or not.

the screen behind the bumper is where the extra oil cooler is mounted. the air scoops are off ebay new for like $25. i was going to hammer them out and just use them for a pattern but it was just easier to use them. the a-arms are +3 long travel

Yea, I know, but I gave up mx when I sold the 250x and I am just a woods rippin trail rider now. Those lights sure are nice when I stay out playin too late. How else would I find my truck? LOL

yeah quadtrix6 thats the hood.

i was going to do the red and then everything that is orange do silvervein but then it would look like most everyone elses. that why i went neon orange. the color sticks with you and guys always know who i am (and who is in front of them) :rolleyes:
