My wife did ride till about 2 months ago when we found out she is pregnant........I guess shell be watchn from the sidelines for another 7 months. hopefully I will have a better quad for her to rip on than her Warrior after the baby........she loves ridn my ex.

That just reminded me from yesterday. This family was at Florence with their kids and we watched them load up onto 2 quads. The woman had her older kid (probably 5 or 6 years) sitting on her lap on the warrior. Then the dad took the baby (probably 6 months AT THE MOST) and put a little rubber helmet on him then strap him into one of those hiking back packs and climb onto the Blaster. The saw us watching them so they waved and then took off on the dunes. I almost chased that dude down myself and kicked his arse. It amazes me that people think doing that is okay. The guy was even hauling *** up the Face at the South Jetty. The baby had no eye protection whatsoever. And it was pretty windy out there yesterday too. Sometimes it just amazes me how much people don't think.
Anyways, that really was not directed at anyone on this forum, I was just mad and wanted to vent. HAHA

I have 2 sons 4yrs & 12yrs & they both race the older one rides the blaster & the little guy has a LEM condor 50, he just started this year racing. Hey thanks for the warm welcome.My first bike was a blaster My bike now is a 250ex. I hardly ride it anymore.My wonderful b/f told me to trade the blaster in for the honda.Big mistake i think. Don't get me wrong my honda is great to ride handles well except for a day in the whoops. But i miss the clutch and power of the blaster. So now i mostly ride his raptor and he rides his banshee.Serves him right...lol.... I am going to trade in the 250ex for something new soon...Don't know what yet. I dont want a raptor b/c it has to much power for me. I mean i am 5'3 107 lbs. He is saying to get a suzuki 400 but i don't know if i should listen to him again...As far as riding i just go to sand pits and trails. No racing for me. Anyway a girls forum would be great to talk on. My aim is imjjsgirl3175....Talk to you soon....:D

I think you would like the 400ex if your not happy with a 250 your not going to gain too much more with a 300ex,personally I loved my 300ex but I felt too crapmed on it, and needed more power... It took me a long time to learn how to ride my Rancher--because its a big bike and i am a small (short) girl. I am still kind of weary of it...am not a big fan of hills and thats all my husband want's to take me on. :( but i have gotten used to it. I just like playing in the mud and puddles and getting my husbands 300 or y bro-in-laws Raptor out of the mud. Can only wish i had the option of pressing a button for 4 wheel drive, it would save me on a lot of gas at the drag strip. :)

Was the Kodiak really stiff when you first got it? The Rancher was really stiff but after a year of rough riding it got a lot softer.

Yeah it was stiff but it's now 3.5 yrs old & has had the $hit rode out of it, been through more than it's share of mudd, & rode pretty hard. I'm also short & thought oh man this quad is going to be WAY to big but I just set the shocks to the softest setting I don't know if the Kodiak is as big as the Rancher I think it's a nice size though. Yeah my hubby was always calling me a wimp cuz here I had 4X4 but still wanted to stay on the roads & trails, I did take it upside down once & it was NOT fun, he was right behind freaking out, I went to go down a steep hill & was still pretty new & the front tire caught & away she went rolling down the hill w/ me underneath!!!! It was scary it came to a stop on top of me:confused2 so here comes the hubby to get it off of me & I'm just yelling "I'm ok just get it off of me" now that I look back it was funny & I bet it was quite the site!!!!! Now I'm riding my 300EX but haven't really taken it on a trail ride yet, just on my neighbors 10 acres & the race track. I think from having the kodiak I have improved my riding because of the having to throw that big ol thing around. We'll see on the trail though. LOL Anyway have fun & tell the hubby to chill out!!!!!

LOL....i am totally freaked out about flipping that big quad on top of me. We trail ride in this place called Bear Creek--basically its a huge land that this guy just takes his plow and makes hills and a small little track that people just play on, and he takes me into the woods and there is this one spot where its scares the day lights out of me....its this small bump or hill in the road and i am like sideways going over/up it, and i am so scared that my quad is going to fall on me, but he keeps taking me to that one spot. Or there is this one spot in woods where its a small but very steap hill and i just refuse to go down!! Its the strangest thing, i am ok riding roller costers-upside down, big hills etc. but you put me on the quad am scared to death of hills--i guess its because i am not strapped in a seat like in a roller costers.

My hubby has been really cool about it, he knows i just enjoy getting muddy and playing. He just wants me to get prepared for Rumble on the Ridge which is a 3 hr ride through woods, open fields ect. We are suppose to go on my b-day next month so we shall see. What a b-day present ha?? LOL
