If I put a K & N air filter and jet kit on my 250ex, Would I have to rejet the carb? Also, if I put a pipe on, would I have to rejet? Thanks! I guess you can tell I am not a veteran!! :D

IF you put the filter on you would have to rejet, that is what the JET KIT is for. If you then put a pipe on after that you would have to rejet again. Your best bet is too get a shop to rejet your carb for you. Since it sounds like you would get lost trying it yourself, like any other beginner.;)

if you put the jet kit in then yeah you jetted the carb. but if you add a pipe jet again for the best power and hp increase.

I put my exhaust on and filter in at the same time so I could just rejet once. I just used off brand jets and mine works just fine.

Thanks for helping out guys! How much do you think it would cost to get it rejetted?? :)

its not that hard to rejet follow instructions and just experiment with different jets.

it should take a local shop one hour to jet a carb if they have an exhaust carbon sensor or w/e they use, took my shop one hour to dial my carb in just right after i messed it up, so call and see how much the shop charges hourly, you best bet is to have the shp do it since you don't sound like a "wizz" when it comes to jets, they are a pain in the ***** sometimes, my 250x is a sensative little machine, not easy to jet my bike for some reason
