id definately get suspension before doing anything to the motor. after that id just got for a 416 and a cam. that would be cheeper than just a 440 because you wont have to resleve, plus you can bore it out again before needing to resleve.

is there a noticable diffrence in power when goin for a 400 to a 416???

yup
the power dosent come so much from teh displacement as id does from the higher compresion and more agresive cam. a 416 with a cam will be faster than a 440 without one and it will be cheeper too.

MINE HAS BEEN GOOD, BUT YES... EXPENSIVE. 416'S ARE AWSOME AND ARE MORE ECNOMICAL.
