I want a little more out of my 400ex, but don't want to lose reliability. I have been looking at 416 or a 426, but i don't want a 440 yet. I blew a bottom end out of my original motor and bought another because i did $1800 to mine so i bought another for $1300, so i have another complete top end if i need another sleeve or anything like that if i destroy one. I just want some opinions on RELIABILITY and the PERFORMANCE it gave you, what gas you run, and how often you re-ring.

2000 400ex
Ohlins
Tag T-2
Razr's on rear
Ohtsu's on front
One industries Graphics
Full prm skids
DG bumber (hey it was free)
Nerfs Nacs block off plate
MSR E-Z pull clutch lever
Big-gun slip on
Thats all i can think of

88mm. 426 biggest on a stock sleeve. if you blow it you gotta resleve. 416 lets you bore out one more time to a 426. its up to you from there

im happy as a pig in chit with my 416, and have not had one moment of questionable reliability. if you want a good motor, get a 416;)
