ROLL steering stem

I installed my Roll Design steering stem on my 86 R a couple days ago and noticed that when I tighten the nut on the shaft up, it bottoms out and never really tightens up on the bearing. I have about 1/16"-1/8" of play up and down. Does anyone else have the same thing happening? Just curious if this is right or not...

i dont have a roll design but mine has a little back and forth wobble causei need new bearings for it but with that kinda movement "consult ur doctor!"

man that weird i dunno why 1-16 of movement at all.................

could the bearings be shot???

could you have lost the bottom spacer?

i can build you a custom steering stem that will work great. the only thing is you will need to use a smaller tank, like a trx90 tank to allow room for the stem and i will even spray paint it safety orange. by the way, a steering stem is still not enough to make you as fast as me.

Maybe I oughtta check on that there spacer. I think I mighta forgot about it. Thanks... now I feel like a dumb arse.
