it does work on powdercoat. I have a gallon of that stuff($20 a gal) and I poured some on my a-arms to strip em, and the powder just peels itself right off. you do need to do a little scraping on it tho. just let it sit for about 30 min. you can watch it work. try not to get it on yourself tho. it burns pretty good on your arms
