ok the other day, the bolt that goes in the side of teh rear caliper on my 400 that holds the praking brakes tuff on came out and all the fluid leaked out, well i put new fulid in and there is no compression on the brake pedal at all, i can push it all the way down and nothin happens. Then i looked at my brake pads, they are work down to bout nothing so could the piston be all the way out and not doing nothing since there are barely any pads or is it somethin else?:o

on the bolt there is a hole. you have to line the hole up with the hole on the brake line end. once you do that you put some brake fluid in and pump the brake. then the brake fluid will go into the hose. put some more in and keep repeting untill the brake is like normal. but you have to make sure the holes are alligned

Well, get a friend to press down the brake pedal and check it out!
If you pads are basically nothing left, then replace them! Make sure and mic the disc to see if its still within factory specs :)

Also a good time to get rid of the useless parking brake that only makes your rear brakes drag.
If you want a real parking brake, just zip-tie your front brake lever to the bars ;)

The best parking brake you can ever have is called !1ST GEAR! ITS AMAZING! It makes your four wheeler not go backwards or forwards.!

Well since the bolt holding the fluid in fell out that means that the fluid came out and you put some fluid in with the bolt on and now there is air in the line. have a friend push and the brake pedal severely and then without stopping he justs' hold its down as far as it can go and then you loosen the bolt alittle and fluid will come out pushing air bubbles out. Do this maybe 5 times and check your res. on fluid because squirting some out will make the fluid in the box go down. after doing this try them. maybe more times maybe less. Your bleeding the brakes. Got a question? PM me or Dmirra388 on AIM

I might be wrong, but I think you have a blown seal. Time for a rebuild kit. Maybe someone can help more with this.

Do you know what seal it would be?... and what can you rebuild? I've tried almost everything and i'm having the same problem with my brakes. Any help guys? Thanks
