Confused about my clutch....

Ok my bike is a 01 400 Stock, and the clutch confuses me, when i pop the clutch with some RPM ait will wheelie but then again, the lever will grab at the last point....i have never delt with a motorcycle/ATV clutch before so can someone give me some insite thanks

sounds like your clutch has wore past its adjusted point. Lossen up the clutch cable lock nuts, and adjust your cable in or out. You can adjust when your clutch begins to grab by doing this. I hope this helps!

should i replace the clutch....i ordered a new cable to see if that will help....the clutch also does not totally disengage when i pull the clutch in.......i am hoping i will be able to adjust it when i get my new cable

Have you tried to adjust it yet with the cable you have on it? If not, it may just need to be adjusted, not a new cable. I would try to adjust it before you do anything with the new cable.

sounds like you have it adjusted out too much so your cable is always holding your clutch out a little bit.if you get it adjusted properly and and it still slips some then youve worn out your clutch by doing this.remember you have more adjustment at the clutch end of the cable not just the lever end.

i have adjusted both ends.......even to the point that when i pull the clutch in the clutch is still engaged......i have tried to adjust it already i f-ed around with it......
