backflip on quad

i would think that you wouldnt want to hit a jump with that steep of a degree, i would think it would be better to do it like mike metzger did and a lil bit easier too.

The only reason it hasnt been attempted is b/c of the rotation. A dirt bike is half the weight of a quad, a bike is nothing compared to a quads weight, and a snowmobile has massive tracks to help improve rotation while in the air...something small tires is not going to be able to accomplish. Its only a matter of time before someone does try it, but it wont be easy. :ermm:

I think I was watching a show a while back when a guy from Australia did a back flip but I could be wrong I know he did some hellish jumping & is like a stunt guy over there. I can't remember were I seen it though:confused:

striker49 you said it cant be done cause we dont have the tracks going in the air or whatever. if you put paddles on then you would get more turn in the air but i dont know if that would work with the paddles just a thought.

Good idea, but how well do you think the paddles would do traveling up the ramp?
The only reason its much easier on a snowmobile is b/c the track is massive and helps greatly with rotation in the air.
Im not sayin by any means that it cant be done on a quad, but it will be a bit harder. When it comes down to it, balls is all its gonna take and whoever has the biggest. :eek:

I think you would have to have a steep ramp like thats one. The bike would have to be real light like an R. Lot of power. and big heavy tires to help with rotation. So when your in the air, you can punch it in the heavy tires will help you come around.. The ony problem if you come up short you will distroy your quad if not your shelf. It can be done.

With this back flip thing, how many snowmobilers and dirt bikers actually do back flips? Not many, espcially on sleds. So don't just expect random people to start doing them and being an every day thing or even hearing about one, how long have people been dirt biking, snowmobiling compaired to quads.

I believe it will be done, its just who will feel comfortable enough to do it. Good luck Jon!

i bet if the backflip is ever done it will be done by dana creech b/c he's pretty much tried ever thing else except the backflip,like that 360 on huevos 5,that was dope.i have tried a backflip but not the real thing i was just riding up a jump standing on the back and still holdin on to the handlebars and when i jumped the ramp i let go and jumped back and did a backflip but spinned to fast and landed on my butt and it hurt and i'm not tring it for a while now

300ex is part of a learning curve why take a intermediate level quad and use it for pro level riding? besides muffs freind is pretty crazy on his 300ex, dont do nothing stupid, your not ready to do a flip and if a bunch of kids like u start tryin it its gonna be lawsuit heaven:rolleyes:

i might no be at pro level but i have devoted my self to get better and you can ask anyone in my area what i'm all a bout i out jump 400exs everytime i go ridin and you can put me down all you want but alot of people don't have the balls to do stuff i have done on a freakin 300ex
