What is this hardware you speak of? Do you mean the motor mounts that go in between the gap of the '86 swingarm?? '89 Frames only had 1 rear motor mount welded to the frame so I dont believe there is anything you can do to 'update' it if you have an aftermarket chassis and '89 style aftermarket swingarm.

i am talking about the spacers. i set the swingarm up to the chassis to take a look at it and the chassis was about 1" wider than the swingarm. it looks like it needs some spacers i will get a picture for u guys too see in a few minutes.

You are missing the two steel end bushings that have to be pressed in. go to this link and look at part #9.

i have that part. i have all the parts from my 86 swingarm that were on my 86 250r. what i think i need is part #10 and 7 from the 89 250r. in the picture the swingarm just has the bolt through it so i could take a picture. i believe i need the inside collar #10 and the spacers that center the swingarm #7. btw no the swingarm isnt used it was purchased brand new from hermann racing. it came with bearings in it.

EVERYTHING you need you will get from a Swingarm piviot bolt bearing rebuild kit (I forgot who makes it).
I switched from an 86 frame and 86 swingarm, to an 88 frame and 89 houser swingarm and the kit comes with all new steel bushing spacers, dust-seals, piviot bolt sleeve, and bearings.

What you are missing from what I can see is the steel spacer bushings, and the dustseals the go in between the swingarms and frame
