OK i bolted the shock on and took it for a test ride. I left the raptor spring on. I notice that it was really soft. I turned the little flathead on the resivior both ways but I noticed no difference in stiffness or softness. I turn the flat head on the bottom of the shock and noticed a little in rebound. I need to tighten it up so that it doesn't bottom out on jumps. I went over a small 1ft mound and bottomed it out. Do I need to lower the preload collar? What do I need to do.

Bolting it up took a little while. The bottom of the shock wouldn't line up with the bottom mount. After some wiggling and twisting it fit. I dont know yet how it preforms. Can anyone help me out?

turn 1 full turn on the compression and it should make a huge difference. if not get a new spring

Im going to tighten the preload collar first. I think that will work.

thats what i would try. how much do you wiegh w/ gear? 200 pounds or less requires a 400ex spring

I wiegh about 160 max with gear. I have the raptor spring. Did u put washers in between the shock and the shock mounts? WHat else did u have to do?
