would it hurt the stock shocks if i flip the front ones so that they look like aftermarket shocks with the shafts on the bottom and the shocks bodies on the top? thanks.

I dont believe that will work. the mounts are bigger on the bottom.

well y didnt hondas do this in the first place? you want the least amount of un sprung weight fliping the shocks would reduce the unsprung weight and probably help the handeling i little i will try in tommorw and see if they will fit.

why do you think it will change anything by flipping them? Just curious.

There is no way they will fit, the tops are like 1/2 inch and the bottoms are an inch... I dont get your idea either...

Actually there is a difference. The unsprung weight will be different. By havint the shock body attached at the top to the frame it makes the wheel lighter. So with it lighter out at the wheel it makes the wheel able to react faster and easier to the small bumps, and make it ride better in the small choppy bumps. But if your shocks are valved for them to run a certain way and you turn them upside down then they will act bad. So unless the shock is designed to run with the body to the frame then just leave it as it is.

it would reduce the unsprung weight, it matters alot in off road trucks i dont know if it would affect a atv but buy reducing the wieght that is unspring, or not suspended. it helps with handling a bit.

ummm i dont think it would have an impact even a pro could notice, they wouldnt fit, and if it did make a difference even if they fit honda would have put them on like that
