no block off plate

can I ride my Quad without a block off plate? over the rebuilding months i have lost my parking brake assembly and really want to ride tomarrow. Or are those things just for looks?

its ok, but if your going through bunch of water and mud just cover that part up with silicone or grease to keep chit out
