I have been looking onto getting a 2000 440EX but the thread below about how much better 416s are than 440s and how unreliable 440s are has got me wondering. I am planning doing a little racing but mostly Agressive Trail Riding very little MXing and maybe some cross country racing.
Thing is I saw alot of people saying that the 440 isnt reliable.
ANd some other people were saying that they sucked if not done by a complete pro and considering this guy chose a DG pipe (I hate DG pipes) and spelled Renthal as Runthol I know this guy cant be very smart should I forget this quad or is a cheap 440 job still good and not complete garbage?
If I could afford a Z 400 I would be so much happier but I am stuck on a 400EX or a 2 Stroke (I wont go Raptor because of how bad they apparently handle and how damn unreliable Yamahas are may go Banshee though)

a 440 kit will give you alot more power for hill climbs and stuff like that but they are usually a bit more expensive when compaired to a 416 kit becuase once you get to a 440 kit your 400 will start to run alot hotter which requires a bigger oil cooler, and when oyu get the 440 or 416 you will need better suspension so you can put that new power to the grown so i'm just giving you my knowledge on the subject so do a search and you will find alot more additonal info :)

in my opinion a 440 is much better for woods riding than a 416. If done by the right person a 440 is extremely reliable.
