for all 300ex owners

i recently posted a subject about takin the plastic off the handlebars on the 300ex, i did this and got the piece from an 87 250x, but i cant figure out how to get the ignition into the hole, do i have to discoonect it or somethin ???, i dont wanna cut the wires and mess it up, cuz somehow u have to put the ignition up through the bottom of the hole on the plastic piece that goes on the handlebars, how did u all do this????, thanks for the help

you have to disconnect the ignition were were it splits in 2.it will pull right off.you pop the ingnition in then connect the wires agin...hope i helped///good luck
