I found this on another forum I was reading today so I figured I would look in my computer to see if it was there. I found it and have not deleted it yet, does anyone else have this in his/her computer?

Sorry for the confusion. Apparently the teddy bear icon program is on everyones computer and is there for a java script program. If deleted your computer will stilll run without problem, however, it is NOT harmful to your computer. Apparently th message and warning I received is some type of joke. Sorry for all the confusion! I wish people would find better things to do than play these types of games

I'm sorry to inform you that your inclusion in my address book may have
caused a possible virus to be placed on your computer. A virus was passed
on to me by a contact who was kind enough to let me know. My address book
has, in turn, been automatically infected. Since you are in my address
book, there is a good chance you will find it on your computer also. The
virus (called jdbgmgr.exe) is NOT detected by Norton or McAfee Anti-Virus
systems. The virus, allegedly, sits for 14 days before damaging the
system. It is sent automatically by messenger and by address book, WHETHER
OR NOT you sent e-mails to your contacts. To infect, no action was needed
by me or you. I received the message below and had to remove the file from
my computer. I followed the directions and erased the virus easily.
Please take two minutes to search your computer as described below. Here's
how to check for the virus...and get rid of it.

You MUST DO THIS:

1) Go to Start, Find, or Search option.

2) In the file/folders option, type the name: jdbgmgr.exe

3) Be sure to search your C:drive and all subfolders and any other drives
you may have.

4) Click "find now"

5) The virus has a teddy bear icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe DO NOT OPEN IT.

6) Go to Edit (on the menu bar), choose "select all" to highlight the file
without opening it.

7) Now go to File (on the menu bar) and select "delete". It will then go
to the Recycle Bin.

8) Go to the Recycle Bin and delete it there as well.

IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS, YOU MUST CONTACT ALL THE PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK
SO THEY CAN ERADICATE IT IN THEIR OWN ADDRESS BOOKS.

To do this.

a) Open a new e-mail message

b) Click the icon of the address book next to the "to"

c) Highlight every name and add to "BCC"

d) Copy this message...enter subject...paste to e-mail...send

SORRY!

Mine isn't detecting it either. It says in the message that I attached that Norton isn't detecting it. Mine showed up in two places:
Windows and I386 files

Thanks everyone! I would have felt like a real idiot if I would have sent this to all of the clients in my address book and they all deleted the poor little inocent teddy bear. He never did anything to anyone, why are people putting a "hit" on him?

Thanks again guys!

No prob, I work in the computer support dept at the University of Virginia. I get this call a lot from my users. So I figured I would pass on the knowledge to you guys/gals.
