I heard this will heat up the shock and fade it out, makes sense, do you guys agree?

makes perfectly good sense..but i dont' think it really makes that much difference...at least i never notice it whether on a MX track in the middle of the summer or during a 2+ hour XC race..:ermm:
I like having the idea of it being protected from the elements during a race..

i would rather my shock get hotter which the covers are made to have air flow than the dirt sand and other abrasive element get into my shocks
