I recently posted a messaged on how to change axle bearings and im slowly in the process of doing so...right now i went out and took my wheel off the hub...now im wondering how in the hell does the hub itself come off the axle...its a durablue axle, 01 400ex
any help is again greatly apprieciated

take out the cotter pins if there are any..unscrew the big nut and walla..your done...

there are a few cotter pins at the end..maybe just one but the one prong looks bent toward the middle....i dont want to **** anything up...and the big nut is in the middle of the hub too correct??

you won't a F nuttin up..you need a set of dikes to pull the cotter pin out..well it makes it real easy..and yes the big nut is what holds the hub on..if your removing the axle..you only need to remove the right hub..if your standing behind the quad..

yeah i got the dang cotter pin out...bent the crap out of it tho...taking just the right tire+hub off the rest slides out to the left is what im told....also any clue on the size of the nut at the end of the axle to take of the hub?? bigger than most of my sockers gunna have to borrow one from the neighbor

o one more thing...i called the honda shop today to price bearings and things, they said they had a kid with 2bearings and 2 seals for 49.95...my brother said i needed races if they werent included in the kit...what are they...sorry im a newbie to this kinda ****

hey man im home now,just fired up yahoo so i can give you a hand with that if you want,the hub nut should be 25mm.Message me if youre still wrenchin on it.

Hub nut is 27mm or 1 1/16"

Edit: That is for stock.....Durablue might be different. I know LSR is 30mm:eek2:

Yeah it's 27mm on the stock and I hope you have a breaker bar handy - those things are a mutha...
