I wanna polish my header heat shield, but have never polished anything before. How do I go about doing it, cause I dont wanna screw it up. I have that mothers mag and aluminum polish that everyone seems to use, and a dremel tool, is that what I need, could you guys help me out? Thanks.

its stainless steel, it will be real hard to polish with just mothers, i used a compound and a buffing wheel made for stainless steel and it still took a while, dont waste ypour money to get it chromed

yea its def. harder to do the heat shield than a piece of aluminum, mothers and stuff of that sort do not work the greatest unless you spend 3 weeks rubbing the stuff in

i always thought it was steel

compounds are fairly easy to use and work great, plus they're made for polishing

Compounds are the only way to go.
