Help! Please read

I recently removed the choke from my bike an devery once in a while it will back fire, when letting of the throttle, and sometimes when I turn it off it backfires, like one pop right as engine shuts off. I live in AZ so I dont know if I should have changed the pilot
or not. Does it sound like Im running lean or rich any ideas will help. Im not very good yet determining whether its lean or rich
(like the sounds and ways it rides)

I'd say you were running a little rich. Was removing the choke the only thing you did?

correct me if i'm wrong but backfiring is a sign of leaness and bogging is a sign of richness you should have gone on up to a 42 pilot

Im pretty sure backfire means you are rich and if it sputters when you hit the throttle its lean.
