I'm not sure about a 300ex, but on a 400 they are aluminum! They'll polish up just like everything else!;)

I believe the motor mounts are just bare aluminum on a 400ex. Not sure on a 300ex or R though...

yeah..i was gonna polish them but i didn't know if they were steel or what and i don't want them to rust...rust is a very very bad thing...:o

400EX = Aluminum
250R = Steel

Not sure about a 300ex, lmk if thats what your wanting to know, I can go outside and look at my 300 if you'd like.

ESR makes some trick anodized aluminum ones for the R and possibly other bikes.

When you polish your motor mounts can you just take one off at a time? Or just make sure you support the motor? Thanks for the Help:)
