Just added WB pipe and silencer. (Obviously before I read the long posting about welds breaking) Now considering the next step to be replacing the air filter with K&N or Sparks. Any thoughts?

K N flow better but they don't protect your engine in dry and dusty conditons so you will want to run a outerwares

Seems like more I read, by the time you add Outerwear to the K&N filter, you've lost any improvement. We run in a lot of dust, so I think I'll stay with the stock and my WB.

The uni will give you good protection and better air flow than the stock filter.

What the heck are you talking about? The outerwears barely do anything to performance... they just keep most dirt out of the engine. You must be thinking about UNI making no improvement to stock. The stock airfilter starts to deteriorate after about 7-8 washings anyways.:o

get a uni, dont get a k&n, ive had one and the outerwears rip after a few rides, i just dont trust them, im selling mine for 35 plus shipping, it has less than a year on it. They let in too much dust, and the person that said uni being no beter than stock, is that why when i put my stock filter back on while iw as waiten for my UNI i had to rejet because it was rich, and when i put the UNI on i had to rejet again cuz it was lean?

Never had any problems with K&N/Outerwear. I have yet to run a aftermarket foam filter, but I know I would buy another K&N.

K&Ns do flow better but a more harmful to your motor. I would run a K&N with a precharger or they also make a foam style prefilter that is better than a precharger. the K&N with a precharger will still flow better than stock. a precharger will restrict airflow by 15% and the foam style prefilter will restrick the air flow by 3-5%. I recomend K&N, they are a good product and they add instant hp.
