I'm new to board & am looking for a starting point on jetting.
I'm installing a 416 piston, xr 400 cam, & WB exhaust, with modified air box & k&n this weekend. I live in vegas ( about 2100 ft elevation) From what I read, the average jetting is around 165 main, 42 pilot, But no needle positions noted, or any elevations.
Running stock carb & any input would be helpful. Thanks.

Should get you pretty close depending how much youv'e modded your airbox. I'm running the same thing but with a K&N/outerwear and stock airbox. Got a 42/3rd clip/162 main in there now and it's running great.
