OK i just sold my banshee and i am in search of a real drag racer. I liked my banshee for dragracing but i believe that the atc250r will be better for dragracing. Not only that but mainly i want to be different, everyone and their bro races a shee. So does snyone drag race atc250rs or know anything about them or better yet does anyone have one for sale???? any info will help me out greatly.

i think a banshee would have been faster overall, becuz you can bore it out alot more and its 2 cylinders but your right, too many people have them

yea cbw had a 350x for sale. not interested. One other reason i want a atc250r is because i could make it a plonda and it would really be different and fast as hell. There are some very tricked out 250rs out there that eat shees for breakfast stock and drag racing shees. but yes you are correct a very well built drag shee would beat a 250r just because of of the 2 cylinders.

Yea they can put out more than that. There is a place around here that has a shee that does like 132hp. They are very serious about them tho liek extreme serious. I just want somthing different and i think they have very serious potential.

freeride..........the quadzilla has 2 times the displacement and an extra tire. it ought to weigh more. isn't it past your bed time?

hes talkin about makin a plonda its up around 400- 500 range that why i said he had a good idea plus it wouldnt be big and heavy like the quadzilla so why would he wanna start with that when he can pick the atc up in better shape cheaper

I really just kinda want to be different. I have worked with quads since i was 10 yrs old. I want to start worken on somthing different for a change. Trikes are lightweight and if they have a 250r motor in them than the possibiltys are endless (kinda). I know that i wont be able to beat a fully moded out drag shee but i will be able to compete with one and put up a good fight. I am deffinatly going to get a atc250r liquid cooled but i am still trying to decide wether i will get the motor built by ct, ftz or go with a totally new comsept (to me) and build a plonda/hondurous. It is still in the thinking stage but i have made up my mind on the trike part of the situation. Any more feedback would be greatly appreciated.

PLonda.....or Polonda is where you put the polaris 400cc topend on your 250R bottom end. Right? I think it is.

I have an ATC 250R. and it's quick. stock bore mtor, and a good porting job, I've beatin 310R's, and quite a few banshees. Now I know those 500cc 120hp banshees would whip me like nothing, so I pick and choose my fights.

You can also put a CR500 engine in an ATC 250R frame, or convert the CR500 dirtbike to a trike, I've seen it done many times.

Well there is a place around here caled roadrunner racing and all they do is drag race banshees. One of the guys built a plonda and prefers that people refer to it is a hondurious. Why i dont know, but he does so that is what i call it because it kicks *****. I wouldnt want that 250r anyway because why would anyone in their right mind want to restore that???:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

I am looking for a stocker that may or may not need work. If i am turning this into a serious dragracer a full makeover will be needed. but thx for the feedback. Still any other info would help. What site beside FTZ (i think that is what it is) does purly drag racing mods and engine building?

no ............I dont have a drag quad. i was offering the quadzilla as an option to your other choices. 500cc 2 stroke power is hard to turn down.

you could slap a cr500 motor in a atc. that would rip **** up. or a rotax motor. oooooh a polaris or ski-doo 600 twin in a atc frame with some big pipes. weeeeeeee

4punks it isnt that hard to turn down. I do like the idea of a 500cc 2 stroker but i dont like their relyability and the weight. As i have said before i have made up my mind on the trike. Thx speed bump i have been to both sites and i like them allot.

Now to the more important stuff. Speeedbump I may take you up on that offer for the frame. I would like one with a 250r engine in it allot better tho. If wou could get one with an engine than i would be very interested. But if you dont do you think you could get me some pics of the frame and a list of what is included or is it just the frame and forks? thx allot. send me a pm if you want as well.
