What exactly is a timing key and what will it do for me? Where can I get one and what do they cost? Are they hard to install. Also can someone tell me about a shaved flywheel and what it will do and how I can do it or buy one. Thanks alot.

A advance key is a replacement key for the flywheel that advances timing 6 degrees. It costs about $15 & you can order it from curtis sparks racing. I have never tried it but it has gotten mixed reviews on the board.
Shaving the flywheel is something that an engine builder should do & it takes off rotating mass, so the motor revs faster, you should get better rpm quicker & gain top end & possably mid but loose bottom end. Call TC racing or Curtis Sparks Racing & they can explain it better.

Do you have any engine mods? Just wondering because I was thinking of getting it.

shaving the flywheel isnt always a good thing. Your 400 will stall alot easier if you ride in tight technical stuff. It will rev faster but wont lug through turns.

I have a key on mine from TMM and the only thing I noticed was little more bottom end.

I installed the key, have minor mods and felt a boost in the low-mid range. Got more pep, beats similar modded 400's.
