from what i understand, 400ex and 250r a arms will both work on a 300ex (for those guys that convert to them and shocks). so, i would think they would work, but im not sure if the length is exactly the same.

The frame mounting points on the 250R arms are narrower than the 400 and 300. Spindle offset is 4 degrees different too.

So there is no way these will fit? I bought a front end package deal for a good price, but it was for a 250r.

The 250R arms will work on a 400ex if you use shims on each side of all the bushings. If the arms that you bought are +1 foreward, you may find that the tierods hit the shocks springs on full turn.

no . you got it the wrong way around. 250r is wider. If you were to use 400ex arms on a 250r. you have to use spacers or washers. If your using 250r on 400ex you may have to grind the ends down. Im positive of this because i had to grind down my roll's that i took of my R when i put them on my 400. I am 100% on this.

What all did you have to do to grind it down take out all the bushings and stuff? In the end does it work? Thanks

you need to grind down the arm and the inner bushings. and you should still use the plastic washers. Yes it'll work if done right.
