sorry, i guess i could of gave you some of the most important info. my quad is stock. it has a modded airbox lid and a twin air filter. factory pipe is gutted out. everything else is stock. spark plug is new and i am using the factory dpr8z. my bike ran choppy while it was cold so i moved the needle up one notch(clip down one notch). this cured the stumbleing problem while cold. i just want it to start without the choke. any help would be great

I have a stock 400 with PC t-4 and air box mod that I tried to run a 42 pilot on. I run like crap. I droped the pilot to a 40 and the thing has run great ever since.

did your bike just run bad with the 42 in? or did it not start good either? do you need to use the choke with the 40 in? i just ordered a 45 because i did not have luck with the 42.

When I put the 42 in it was boggy at the bottom. I tried adjust the air/fuel mix but it did not help. When I put the 40 in I set the air/fuel mix back to stock. Run good. Just recently I took out the choke mech. When I start it up I just pump the throttle a couple of times while turning it over. When it hits I just feather the throttle for a minute and then she will run on her own.
