Shee's are reliable if you can get them jetted and tuned in just right but my husband has a banshee and we are at 2000 ft (about) but when we go to little sahara ut around 6000 ft it runs like $h!*. And the bike is very well taken care of. It runs like a champ if we stay around vegas and it does great at Dumont but anywhere else you might as well leave it home.

Well, jetting and tuning is a part of any quad (except C-dales) it's just a little more critical on 2 strokes. I ride anywhere from sea level to 11,000 feet on my Banshee and I pretty much know now what jets to put in for a given altitude.

Banshees are VERY reliable if you jet right and mix your oil reasonably and do the basic maintenance.

Wyo - Do you ever go to little sahara ( sand mountain utah )? If so what do you jet your banshee at I know all bikes are different. But we want to go for Easter and last time we went up it ran like crap.

You should get a 4 stroke Banshee's are made to be gassed all the time. I have a Banshee and a 400ex and I would rather ride the 400ex on trails.

not all of them, in fact they are great on trails.. imo...you also have a +4 swingarm....that might be why you dont like it

I don't know if this will help you but we run at Sea level in OR and when we have taken trips to St. Anthony's (roughly 5,000 ft above sea level) all the people that I have ridden with dropped 2 or 3 jet sizes. If you find that you need to drop your Banshee by a couple jets you might trying dropping the 400 as well. I bet you feel a power gain there too...it just the 4-strokes are not near as "touchy" as the Shee's

I have a banshee and pretty much all i do is ride tight trail,get one there not as bad as everybody with sissy 400 exs say they are there just mad they didnt get a real bike.

shees are nice, stock they are acctually pretty reliable quads especially for a 2 stroker. just maintain them which you should do with any quad and you will be fine. after time things will go out but its like that with about everything.... except honda:D
