Well, this really sucks. I was thinking of making an offer, but then Ben said that selling a C-Dale wouldn't quite cover the cost, so I am out. YLW seems to have a good idea, but I don't think that Bluetraxx is the place to go (neither is ATV connection). What about the z-400 &/or Predator forums? What is peak bandwidth comsumption and are you running redundant servers mirrored or single. What kind of drive space is needed to host site and just give me a basic run down of the server. I do have access to a OC12 bb'd serverroom where I host my sites. I do have a few servers but nothing more than a P3 500 with Raid SCSI and about 40gig of space. Just curious about what it takes to run site.

Well if this is a joke, haha... funny.

If not, at least keep the server alive for one more billing period. How much can a monthly server bill be? You have more than one person willing to pay some money to keep the site alive, and if it's up for another month you would find a buyer no problem, even if a few people had to chip in what they could. Or even if a fund was set up.

But giving everyone less than a day to try to scrape something together to keep our internet home alive???? Doesn't seem very logical or fair to the members. I know you have put all kinds of time and resource into the site, but at least give the members a fighting chance to keep it alive! Just my 2 cents...

I sure as he11 hope this ain't true ! I am just as skeptical about this announcement as the rest of you. Just keep in mind, if the site does go down tomorrow, check back in a day or two. What's to stop Ben from shutting down the site tomorrow to prolong the April Fool's joke?
